PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

 To my mind education as an idea, is not about bricks, mortar and concrete, but about building character , enriching minds and about varied experiences that last a lifetime. Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a future job but a lifelong process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life in a right path.

It is rightly said that “The whole purpose of education is to teach the child to think and not what to think”. 

We at St. Mary’s School believe that this is the fundamental truth and it has always been the endeavour of the school to instil right values in its students so that they develop a holistic personality and are ready to take on the challenges head on once they step out of the gates of the school.

Here, I believe my role as an educator is to guide and nurture the next generation to establish skills to achieve health, respect, prosperity and a sterling character.
To achieve this, we emanate and sprinkle an atmosphere where each child receives love, dignity and acceptance. The trust here is to blend thoroughly the modern and traditional approach which is conducive for learners. 

In this contemporary world where cut throat competition has become a part and parcel of life, it is of supreme importance that we teach our children to be competent enough to stand tall amongst others with their extraordinary skills and come out victorious from the realms of this challenging labyrinth.

I believe that having quality, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a school’s success. To borrow John Hattie’s words; “teachers should build classroom climates where errors are welcome, student engagement is the norm, questioning is high and students gain reputations as effective learners”.

 Today the role of a teacher is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of our dynamic global society.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated and passionate teaching and non-teaching staff who work tirelessly to provide the best educational experience for our students.

To our students, you are the heart of our institution. I encourage each one of you to embrace the opportunities that this academic year brings. Work hard, be curious, and always remember that your potential is limitless.

 To the parents, your support and trust in us are the cornerstones of our success. We value your partnership in your childs education journey and look forward to your continued involvement.

To our well-wishers and the larger community, your encouragement and goodwill inspire us to strive for excellence every day. Together, we are shaping the future.

In conclusion, as we move forward into this new academic year, let us remember that education is a shared responsibility. Together, we can make a huge difference, achieve great heights and prepare our students to face the challenges of the world with confidence and resilience.
